Eachine EX5

Eachine EX5 Drone Review

Many sources agree that the Eachine EX5 is modeled after the DJI Mavic Mini. However, the look and styling is just about all they have in common.

This quadcopter comes with a 4K camera, long battery life of 30 minutes and FPV transmission among others. It is also packed rich with automatic functions so that even beginner pilots can have a great time with it.

While this drone claims it comes with a 4K camera, it lacks a 3-axis gimbal for stabilizing the camera. In that case, it does not always take distortion-free footage.

This doesn’t mean it does not have a means of stabilization. It comes with electronic stabilization, but it is just never as good as a mechanical one.

There is no information about whether the drone has a micro SD card slot. Another downside is that it is not possible to adjust the vertical angle of the camera on the remote controller. There just isn’t a key for that function.

You can buy the 2.4G or the 5G WiFi versions of this quadcopter. The former has an image transmission distance of 200 meters while the latter can transmit over a distance of 1000 meters.

In the upcoming sections, we are going to see the features that the EX5 comes with, the design and build quality, battery, remote controller and many more.

Note: we are reviewing the EX5 2.4GHz version here.

CSJ X4

CSJ X4 Drone Review

The CSJ X4 drone is available in three options or should we say with three camera choices.

First, there is the 2MP camera, secondly, we have the 4K camera and lastly, there is the 1080P. The 2MP is the cheapest one while the 4K one is costlier but even then, it still costs well under a hundred bucks.

By design, this slim quadcopter looks like the Parrot Anafi drone, which we reviewed earlier. This is further supported by the panoramic camera that can capture shots from incredible angles, which may be hard to do with other quadcopters.

It is also sold with its carry bag and its body folds down nicely so that you can have an easier time traveling with it.

As good as this cheap quad looks; there are a few things to mind. One of them is that the camera angle cannot be adjusted from the remote controller. Beats logic why you would include a panoramic camera yet not make it possible to adjust on the transmitter.

But it is what it is. Keep reading to see more features and its flight functions.

Holy Stone HS510 Review

Does Holy Stone make good drones? This is a frequently asked question on the web. Well, you can only look at it drone by drone, as we are going to do in this Holy Stone HS510 review.

With a weight of 245g only, this quad is easy to carry around, even on your person. To make it even easier to carry with you, it is foldable! You can toss it into your jacket pocket and you will not feel it.

Other things that make this quadcopter worth buying include the long flight range, the long battery life, nice camera and a good handful of flight functions.

In the industry, quality has become synonymous with Holy Stone drones. You can check our past reviews on HS720, HS165 and Holy Stone HS700 to name but just a few of them and you will see their excellent quality.

While this brand name makes some nice specimens, there is a flipside to the HS510. One of the bad sides to this drone is that you cannot control the camera angle from the remote controller. If you want to adjust the view, you have to bring the quad home and do it manually.

For such a great looking and powerful drone, we feel that this is an injustice.

There have been some complaints about some users losing their SD cards when the drone is in flight. Therefore, you might want to check whether that happens with all HS510s or it could be a problem with a few.

VISUO XS818 ZEN Mini

VISUO XS818 ZEN Mini Review

Some of the features and functions that the VISUO XS818 ZEN Mini comes with are almost too good to be true.

For example, this quad has GPS positioning, altitude hold and optical flow positioning. How is that for an entry level drone? While it has the word Mini in its name, it is not so small as to be a kid-toy drone. It has a moderate size for a quad in its price range.

This quadcopter comes with a 4K camera. In the upcoming sections, we are going to find out whether this is a true 4K camera. The battery life is quite good and the drone comes with many flight functions.

When you order the drone, it can come with one or two batteries, the latter for a slightly higher cost, but well worth it.

Is there a downside to expect from this drone? Matter of fact, there is one. It does not support MicroSD cards. If a quadcopter will come with a 4K camera, it should have a slot for an SD card because with a card, you can capture footage in high resolution.
