When looking for information about this drone, one UVify OOri review referred to it as the first smart racing drone of the world. How true or false this is can be ascertained by the features. We must agree though that it is quite rare to see a small drone that can do 50mph/80kmh, and with features such as FPV screen on the controller.
Even if you buy the UVify OOri as your very first drone, do not fret at the mention of the word racer in its description. It has three speed modes – beginner, intermediate and racer speeds.
When you buy it, start on beginner speed. As soon as you have cut your teeth, try the higher speed modes. This drone flies well indoors, obviously at low speed, and outdoors too, at high speed.
UVify OOri Features & Technical Details
Physical features
The first thing that you will realize is that this drone comes ready to use. Imagine that! Even the propellers and the propeller guards come fixed. All you have to do is fix the battery and you will be ready to fly this drone.
There is an extra set of propellers and the tools to change the propellers. It is important to keep these tools safe because a racing drone is bound to break a propeller now and then, or at least in the first few days. However, do not worry too much about the propellers because there are propeller guards. Most of the time, they will come out unscathed in case there is a crash.
When it comes to size, this is a small drone. In fact, it is at times referred to as a palm drone because … it is that small. It measures 3.5 inches long by 3.5 inches wide by 1.2 inches high. Of course, when you add the propeller guards, the drone is much larger than this.
You do not need to register it with the FAA as it weighs just 73g, without the battery. Just get it out of the box and fly it in your yard.
The drone is stylish, no doubt about that. The white color looks dashing with the black lens of the camera looking like an eye set right at the center. It has beautiful LEDs and red propellers at the back while the front ones are white.
UVify OOri Camera
This is a camera drone. In fact, it has FPV mode so that you can have a first person experience of flying. The camera angle can be adjusted in three ways. You can lift it up, tilt it downwards, or adjust it to look straight ahead. It all depends on you.
You will be happy that you can watch your real-time video transmission on the LCD screen on the controller. You do not need to use your smartphone for that. The video quality is good especially when taken at moderate or low speed. Otherwise, this is not specifically a camera drone, so you need to slow down if you want to capture good footage.
This drone uses an open video signal on the 5.8GHz band. What this means is that if you like to use a receiver, it works with all receivers. For example, you can even use the Eachine EV800 receiver that we reviewed earlier.
The controller
There is a lot to say about the controller of this drone. The controls are very responsive; in fact, many people complain that the controls are overly responsive. Thus, you should be very careful with them because an accidental click could send your drone in the wrong direction.
The controller has a small 1.5 by 2 inch FPV screen. This saves you from the trouble of connecting your phone, downloading apps and using Wi-Fi. The controller is one of those things that feel just right in the hand and racing your drone with the controls is quite fun.
The battery
This drone uses a 600mAh capacity battery – not too large, but it is able to give your drone an incredible lift. This battery lasts a short time L but the saving grace is that it charges fast, say, in a maximum of 30 minutes. You may also buy spare batteries so that you can fly your baby longer.
You will see warnings on the FPV screen when the battery starts to drain. Stay keen so that you can bring your drone in. When the battery is really low, UVify OOri starts to slow down so that you can bring it home.
Speed
This is primarily the main reason that people buy the drone. It is a racer! Imagine a drone this size with the ability to do 80km/h. Now, it would be smart not to punch it to maximum speed if you are flying it indoors. Wait until you find some open space and then hit it.
When you fly it at beginner speed, you do not feel any thrill. The same applies to moderate speed. When you punch the high speed, you really feel what the drone can do.
Short Summary of Feedback from Existing Owners
I love how they did the packaging of this drone. It comes in a padded bed such that even if you drop it, there will be no damage. It flies fast, but the video quality is down at high speed. Abe W.
I thought the price was too high but after feeling the lift that the drone created when it was launching, I knew I had made the right choice. Powerful! Jax R.
I do not like the short flight time that I get with the battery, which is about 4 minutes. However, spare batteries are cheap to buy and the charging time is fast – 20 minutes. Rhoda T.
I love how easy to fly this drone, change the color of the fantastic looking LEDs and most importantly, the drone is so easy to fly, even for a beginner like me. Kiefer G.
I think including the FPV on the controller was a great idea. That way, you do not have to deal with apps and stuff. Just fly it! Leonard Q.
The drone comes ready to fly with even the propeller guards fixed in place. Just read the user manual and start flying it. I did not find the manual very helpful, but it is still better to read it first. Laura W.

Who Should Buy The UVify OOri?
Everyone who loves to have some crazy fun with a racing drone should get the UVify OOri. While we really cannot say much about the camera quality, this drone is a fast racer, has colorful LEDs and is very entertaining. This is a little drone but it is boisterous at the same time. It never fails to impress with its speed and looks. If you love incredible fun, buy the OOri.
Conclusion and Recommendation
This is a good drone, but as you will see in this or any other UVify OOri review, it costs a substantial amount of money. Thus, you want to bear these recommendations in mind. Only fly it after reading the user manual and maybe after watching a YouTube video or two. Do not punch it for top speed unless you have some fast flying skills.
