Yuneec Breeze 4 Features & Technical Details

Design

The Breeze 4 is made from high quality plastic material. Well, at first, when you take the drone out of the box, the plastic does not feel all that good and high quality. However, its quality comes through when you crash it a couple of times and it comes out without a scathe. The drone’s propellers are designed to retract in order to reduce damages that may result from impact. This prevents your unit from possible breaking or snapping. It comes in a compact and lightweight design. Its dimensions are 11 by 8.7 by 3.1 inches and weighs about 385g. If you would like a traveling drone, this is it. It packs small and you can carry it in one of those large jacket pockets, or pack it in your backpack. It is also sold with a carry case.

Safety

The drones infrared positioning and optical flow sensors enables it to maintain its position while flying indoors or outdoors. This enhances its safety on any occasion. In addition, the drone has auto return to home and auto landing features. The rotors are protected against damage when flying indoors.

Camera

This drone has an amazing camera that is designed with a wide range of features in order to deliver an incredible shot all the time. Breeze can shoot 4K videos at 30 frames per second. The camera can also shoot 1080p resolution videos at 60 fps and 720p videos at 120 fps. The still camera takes awesome shots at 13 megapixels. We all know they do not come any better than this.

The camera also swivels at the tap of a button and it has a wide angle of view at 117 degrees. However, when shooting in 4K, the camera does not allow you to use the stabilization setting.

Connect the drone with your smartphone and you will find that you can take still shots, shoot video at 30 fps and at the same time, transmit whatever it is shooting to you smartphone in real time to enable you get a first person view of what the drone is seeing.

Battery & Flight Time

The drone comes with a pair of 3S 11.1 V 1150 mAh Lithium Polymer batteries, which recharge fast, 40 minutes maximum. The flight time is between 12 and 15 minutes, a bit short but then you can buy a second set of batteries for longer flight time. When flying horizontally, the drone can do a speed of 11mph and can rise at a speed of 2.2 mph. The flight range is shorter too but ok compared to the flight time, at 100 meters. Since this is specifically meant to be a photo and selfie drone, the flight range is not bad at all.

Controller

The controller has a rest for your smartphone. It looks like a play station controller and it allows you to guide and control your drone when it is on flight to take photos or shoot videos by simply using joysticks. Besides, you can get a FPV – first person view through your smartphone

Flight Modes

The Breeze 4 comes with five fully automated flight modes, which are as below.

Selfie mode – Allows you to take incredible aerial selfies

Pilot mode – Gives you better control when using manual controls

Orbit mode – When you want the drone to orbit around you or something else when standing still

Journey mode – The drone flies away to capture whatever you want it to and returns to you

Follow me mode – The drone will follow you using GPS capturing everything according to your movements
