DRONEEYE 4DV12 Mini Drone Review

The DRONEEYE 4D V12 is a small, lightweight mini drone that you will love if you want an introduction to the drone hobby. However, please note that this is a very light drone, so it is likely to be hard to trim it when you fly it even in low velocity winds.

The minimal weight notwithstanding, this good mini can equip you with good piloting skills, in readiness for that big drone that you will buy in future.

Marketed as a drone for kids, it has many good features as well as flight functions. It is fun and very simple to fly.

While adults can outgrow it fast, children will love flying it for a long time. It is camera-enabled, so you will be introducing them to the world of aerial photography.

If you are looking for a good gift for your nine, ten or eleven year old, you can try the DRONEEYE 4DV12 quadcopter. But before you do that, you want to see more details about its features and flight modes.

Some of the things that you might want to be aware of is that it does not have propeller guards so a crash will break the blades. It also lacks the follow me function.

HR i4 PRO

HR i4 PRO Review

Occasionally, you will find a good, feature-rich affordable drone to get into your drone hobby or to upgrade to from a small mini drone. The HR i4 PRO mini is one such drone.

When choosing a recreational drone, get a good one. That way, you won’t have to upgrade soon. In the USA, there were almost 2 million registered drones by January 2021. Almost three-quarter of these were recreational models. If you do not have one, you are missing great fun. You can start with a mini drone such as the HR i4 Pro.

It comes with one, two or three batteries. Although it costs more, it is recommended that you get the package with three batteries to enjoy a longer flight time. If you are pressed for money, you can get the one-battery package.

You can also choose between the black and white colors. The nice LED lights at the top of the head make the quadcopter look so stunning.

This is a good camera drone, with good features and flight functions. There is a downside though because this drone is not sold with a carry bag. You might have to get one separately to make it easier to pack the aircraft for traveling.

DRONEEYE 4DV14 Review

The DRONEEYE 4DV14 drone is good for adult beginners and kids. It also comes with some hands-free features for fun. If you are looking for an affordable quadcopter to learn how to fly, this one can help you.

This is a good drone for the money. However, it has its fair share of downsides. One of them is that the drone comes with a poorly written user manual. For a beginner, it can be hard to learn how to calibrate it and fly it for the first time.

Another common complaint is that the app is a bit clumsy to use for a beginner. It takes some time to figure out but once you do, you will unlock many flight functions for more fun.

The camera is a 1080P, so you cannot really rely on it to take good footage of your outdoor adventures.

This is no surprise since this is just a beginner camera, so you will eventually have to upgrade to a bigger one.

Autel EVO Nano Plus

Autel EVO Nano+ Review

The Autel Evo Nano Plus is a small but powerful mini drone. It has excellent features such as brushless motors, high capacity battery (s), and good build quality. The world-class camera sits on a 3-axis gimbal for stabilization. If you are a photography enthusiast, this is the camera drone for you.

The most outstanding feature in the camera is that it allows a lot of light to get to the sensor so that it can capture photos and videos in vivid colors. We shall look at more camera details later.

This is a good drone and it has quite a lot to offer, with some sources even saying that it has the potential to become the best mini drone of 2022.

Any drone, especially when new, always has issues. For this one, the first downside is the price and the high shipping fee. We say high because there have been firmware issues.

Another downside with this drone is that the app keeps making noise and sounds whenever you want it to do something. There is a constant beeping noise and voice directions telling you what the app is doing.

SMRC icat8

SMRC icat8 Review

SMRC usually offer their drone models with a good number of options. For instance, with the SMRC icat8, you can choose to buy it with one, two or three batteries, of course at different prices. You can also choose to buy it in black, silver or orange color.

This is the complete package since it also comes with a carry bag. If you order the package with two or three batteries, you will never need to buy anything else.

If you are an aerial shooting enthusiast, this drone might help you since SMRC says it comes with an 8K ESC HD camera. However, there is no way to verify this resolution. In the past, we did a review of the Autel EVO 2, which also comes with an 8K camera. It has a video resolution of 7680 x 4320P and a photo resolution of 8000 x 6000.

There are so many other good things going for this drone and it does cost a substantial amount of money. One downside though is that it does not come with a built-in rechargeable battery for the remote controller.

For the money you will pay and with the advanced features that the icat8 comes with, using 4 AAA batteries for the remote controller feels like a letdown.

Keep reading to see the other features that this quadcopter comes with, as well as its design and build quality.
