DJI Mini 3 Pro Review

If you are looking for an excellent flying camera, this DJI Mini 3 Pro review is for you. This is the newest addition in the DJI mini drones stable.

Compared to the Mini 2 before it, the Mini 3 Pro is a great improvement. Where its predecessors lacked vital features such as obstacle avoidance, this one comes with it, making it one of the safest small drones to fly.

Even with all the features, this drone still weighs less than 250g so you will not need to register it with your civil aviation authority before you fly it.

This drone comes with so many good things. They include long distance flight, longer flight time from battery, incredible flight performance, and many automated flight modes.

The only downside you will find with this mini quadcopter is that it is the most expensive in the stable. Costing several hundreds of dollars, you will feel the dent on your wallet, but the experience will be totally worth it.

In the package, there is no USB cable for charging the battery. You will have to use your smartphone charging cable.

DJI Mavic 3

DJI Mavic 3 Review

In their description for the DJI Mavic 3, they use this line – Imaging Above Everything. The inclusion of a Hasselblad 4/3 CMOS camera backs this claim.

Hasselblad is the leader in digital cameras and lenses. Thus, if aerial shooting is your thing, you should get the Mavic 3.

The Mavic 3 comes in three packages. First, there is the DJI Mavic 3, which we are reviewing here.

The second package is the Mavic 3 Fly More Combo, which is costlier by several hundreds of dollars. It comes with three batteries, a convertible bag, filters set and a charging hub.

The third one is the Cine Premium Combo, which comes with all the things that the Fly Combo comes with. It also has extras such as built-in storage of up to 1TB SSD and Apple ProRes 422 HQ recording.

This one is costly at $2800 more than the Mavic 3, but many people agree that the features and functions justify the price.

Back to our Mavic 3 review, what are some of the downsides that you should know? One of them is the cost! The features notwithstanding, the price is simply too steep for many drone enthusiasts.

The second downside is that while this drone has so many advanced features, most of them are locked, so they will be activated in future. This means you cannot use them right now.

DJI Mini 2

DJI Mini 2 Review

DJI is one of the most popular brand names in the drone industry. They have something for everyone and for every budget. Released to the market on 2 November 2020, the DJI Mini 2 comes 12 months after the DJI Mini, which was released into the market on 30 October 2019.

Like many drone enthusiasts, you must be eager to know what is new in the Mini 2. But first, have you used the Mini? If not, you can read our review for DJI Mini, which we published sometime in the past.

In spite of the great DJI name, you still do not want to purchase your quadcopter blindly. You want to know its features and technical details. You also want to know how many flight functions it has. Keep reading so that you can see more details about the Mini 2.

Even before we get to the features, some of the things that have been improved include the flight performance, reception, it has forward and downward sensors, maximum wind resistance is better, ascent and forward speeds are also better.

However, the most notable improvements are in the video resolution because you can capture 4K videos with the Mini 2. With the Mavic Mini, you could only capture 2.7K videos.

DJI Mavic Mini Review

The race is not to the swift… so they say. Nothing exemplifies that any better than the tiny but astonishingly powerful DJI Mavic Mini drone.

If it is a DJI, then it is worth buying on account of the name alone. For years, this drone maker has established itself as the go-to maker of small, medium-sized and big drones. Check the DJI Spark or Tello drones, some of the most popular mini drones from DJI. However, they fade in comparison to the Mavic Mini, the newest kid on the block, released on the end of October 2019.

The DJI Mavic drone is a small compact piece of work and it offers much more than just the good name.

Some of the features that you can expect in this drone include superb camera stabilization feature, stable altitude hover and a long flight time from one battery. These are mostly the things that we all look for in a camera drone, plus the quality of the videos and the photos. However, as you will see later, Mavic Mini outdoes itself.

By design, it is foldable. It also weighs a minimal weight of 249g, meaning you just fly it right out of the box, no need to register it with the FAA if you are in North America.

When ordering the drone, you will realize that it comes in two versions. The first one is the base version, which is $100 cheaper than the second one – Fly More Bundle, which comes with the following extras:

  • Three 2400mAh Li-Po batteries
  • Charging unit that also acts as a power bank
  • High quality travel storage case
  • Propeller guards with 360-degree protection

Are these extras worth the extra price? Most definitely, they are.

Now, let us look into the technical features and details of this camera drone:
