Hubsan ZINO Mini SE

Hubsan Zino Mini SE Drone Review

The Hubsan Zino Mini SE drone comes with many impressive features. If you are in a hurry to read, here is a sneak peek into some of them:

  • 5 mile/9KM flight range
  • 4K camera mounted on 3-axis gimbal
  • 2 batteries for 40 minutes of flight time
  • Quick Transfer function for fast footage sharing on social media
  • Fail-safe features
  • Nice carry bag with shoulder strap
  • Still manages to keep weight under 250G

Hubsan is the home of different types of drones. For instance, they have affordable drones for beginners and they have advanced drones that you can use for aerial shooting.

For years, this Chinese drone manufacturer has been making drones for all budgets, needs and uses. Sometime back, we wrote a review of the Hubsan Zino 2 drone, which comes with a long transmission and flight distance. It also comes with a 4K camera, which makes it useful for semi-professional video work.

Back to our drone of the moment, could the Hubsan Zino Mini SE be the answer to the Mavic Mini or the DJI Mini 2?

That’s what we are going to find out in the upcoming sections.

DJI Mini 3 Pro

DJI Mini 3 Pro Review

If you are looking for an excellent flying camera, this DJI Mini 3 Pro review is for you. This is the newest addition in the DJI mini drones stable.

Compared to the Mini 2 before it, the Mini 3 Pro is a great improvement. Where its predecessors lacked vital features such as obstacle avoidance, this one comes with it, making it one of the safest small drones to fly.

Even with all the features, this drone still weighs less than 250g so you will not need to register it with your civil aviation authority before you fly it.

This drone comes with so many good things. They include long distance flight, longer flight time from battery, incredible flight performance, and many automated flight modes.

The only downside you will find with this mini quadcopter is that it is the most expensive in the stable. Costing several hundreds of dollars, you will feel the dent on your wallet, but the experience will be totally worth it.

In the package, there is no USB cable for charging the battery. You will have to use your smartphone charging cable.

JJRC X21

JJRC X21 Review

JJRC is a respected dronemaker that has been making all types of hobby drones for many years.

They have basic quadcopters for beginners and they have some with advanced features. The JJRC X21 is one of the latter since it comes with omni-directional obstacle avoidance.

In their lineup, you are going to find quadcopters such as the JJRC X19, JJRC A353GW, and JJRC X16 which we reviewed earlier.

The X21 is small, sleek and well built. It is packed with dual cameras, brushless motors, 5-inch foldable props and many other features.

Another of the most notable features is the camera. This drone comes with a high quality 4K camera. If you are looking to get your foot into aerial shooting, you can start on this beautiful drone.

Every drone has its flipside. This one is not any different because the remote control uses 2 AA batteries. This looks like an advanced hobby drone with obstacle avoidance, long flight time and many more. We feel that a remote controller with an integrated rechargeable battery would have been much better.

Another thing is the low takeoff weight of this drone. It is about 165g, which is too light and might be hard to trim in the wind. However, as you read along, you will find out how good the flight performance is because of the brushless motors.

Autel EVO Nano Plus

Autel EVO Nano+ Review

The Autel Evo Nano Plus is a small but powerful mini drone. It has excellent features such as brushless motors, high capacity battery (s), and good build quality. The world-class camera sits on a 3-axis gimbal for stabilization. If you are a photography enthusiast, this is the camera drone for you.

The most outstanding feature in the camera is that it allows a lot of light to get to the sensor so that it can capture photos and videos in vivid colors. We shall look at more camera details later.

This is a good drone and it has quite a lot to offer, with some sources even saying that it has the potential to become the best mini drone of 2022.

Any drone, especially when new, always has issues. For this one, the first downside is the price and the high shipping fee. We say high because there have been firmware issues.

Another downside with this drone is that the app keeps making noise and sounds whenever you want it to do something. There is a constant beeping noise and voice directions telling you what the app is doing.

SMRC icat8

SMRC icat8 Review

SMRC usually offer their drone models with a good number of options. For instance, with the SMRC icat8, you can choose to buy it with one, two or three batteries, of course at different prices. You can also choose to buy it in black, silver or orange color.

This is the complete package since it also comes with a carry bag. If you order the package with two or three batteries, you will never need to buy anything else.

If you are an aerial shooting enthusiast, this drone might help you since SMRC says it comes with an 8K ESC HD camera. However, there is no way to verify this resolution. In the past, we did a review of the Autel EVO 2, which also comes with an 8K camera. It has a video resolution of 7680 x 4320P and a photo resolution of 8000 x 6000.

There are so many other good things going for this drone and it does cost a substantial amount of money. One downside though is that it does not come with a built-in rechargeable battery for the remote controller.

For the money you will pay and with the advanced features that the icat8 comes with, using 4 AAA batteries for the remote controller feels like a letdown.

Keep reading to see the other features that this quadcopter comes with, as well as its design and build quality.
