Affordable Drones

An unmanned aerial vehicle, commonly known as a drone, is an aircraft without a human pilot aboard. UAVs are a component of an unmanned aircraft system; which include a UAV, a ground-based controller, and a system of communications between the two.

Holy Stone HS260 Review

If you have zero drone flying experience, you should get a drone that does more of the work and lets you have the fun at the same time. The Holy Stone HS260 is one such drone. You will find it so easy to figure out the controls. Besides, it comes with a comprehensive user manual that will take you through the steps for calibrating and flying the HS260.

From the Holy Stone drones that we have reviewed in the past such as the HS710 quadcopter, you can tell that they make high quality beginner and advanced user aircrafts.

All the same, they do have their limitations. Even the HS260 has its own limitations. It is better to know them as they will help you make up your mind whether to buy it or leave it.

One downside that is really irking is that the remote controller does not fit most of the modern smartphones, which are larger than the past ones.

As much as we say that the app unlocks many flight functions, there are some things that only work when you are using the remote controller. For instance, the emergency stop function only works from the remote controller. Also, you can only adjust the camera vertical angle on the remote controller.

The few downsides apart, this drone has some incredible features and flight functions too. Actually, the pros are more than the cons, so it makes sense to buy it.

SANROCK H859 Drone Review

The SANROCK H859 is a small, lightweight and affordable mini drone for beginner adults as well as kids. It is a good quadcopter for learning how to fly but soon after, you will feel the need to get one with more specs.

As a beginner drone, you expect some things such as user-friendliness and that is exactly what you get. Even an 11-year old can fly this aircraft without any trouble. However, please note that the manufacturer-recommended minimum user age is 14 years.

While this mini drone checks many boxes, it still has some downsides, which may be small, but you should take note of them all the same.

It is so light in weight such that the smallest air movement will send it straying from its flight path. Also, the FPV distance is a bit short at 96 feet only.

Another downside common with this small drone is that it comes with two batteries but there is only one charging cable.

Every battery should come with its charging cable such as we found with the Holy Stone HS710 quadcopter that we reviewed earlier.

If you are looking for a small drone that you can enjoy flying around your home, this one should fit the bill very well.

Keep reading to see more information on its features and flight functions.

Holy Stone HS710

Holy Stone HS710 Drone Review

The Holy Stone HS710 is a good beginner quadcopter for adults. It comes with a 4K camera, so you can take good footage from the air.

This drone is a good option for travelers and aerial photography enthusiasts who have always wanted a DJI drone but find them too expensive.

It checks most of the boxes because it comes with a foldable design, has an impressive battery life and with 5G connectivity, you can enjoy FPV over a long flight distance.

With the option to fly using headless or standard mode, even if you are an advanced pilot, you will not find this drone too boring.

There aren’t many downsides to worry about with the HS710. At the same time, it would be so much better if it came with electronic image stabilization (EIS) to remove all distortion from your footage.

However, that is a small downside, so it is not really a deal breaker. The rest of the features are good enough.

LOPOM ‎X11-GPS X2

LOPOM ‎X11 GPS X2 Review

The LOPOM X11-GPS X2 is a dual camera drone with a 4K UHD nose camera and a 720P belly camera. You can switch between the two from the remote controller or the app. You will get a fuller view of the terrain as the drone flies.

This drone comes with many flight functions. It has many improvements on the Lopom x11 DRONE that we reviewed earlier.

As usual, we like to look at the downsides of any drone. In this case, there have been a few incidents reported of some people not knowing what app to download.

There has also been one complaint about the drone refusing to calibrate for flight. While these are isolated cases, we advise that you try it immediately when it is delivered so that if there is a problem, you can still be within the return policy time.

Sansisco D15

Sansisco D15 Drone Review

The Sansisco D15 Mini Drone is not only good for kids, but it is also good for beginner adults who want to learn how to fly on a basic drone and then upgrade to a bigger one in future.

This is an affordable drone too. But even their A21 Infrared battle drone does not cost too much, actually being cheaper than this mini.

No money is little when buying a drone. You want to be sure that you are getting enough features for the money. So, before you buy, check out the features.

While this seems like a great mini drone, there have been some concerns. For instance, the controls are too sensitive such that even an accidental featherlight touch can send it crashing into obstacles. You need to be extra careful when you are flying it.

Also, there have been complaints that the drone might quit on you after a few flights.
