Drones Under $300

Details about the best drones you can buy for less than $300

DEERC D15

DEERC D15 Drone Review

If you would like a fairly-priced camera drone with features such as electronic image stabilization, 4K HD camera, moderate size/weight and loads of automatic functions, get the DEERC D15 drone.

The only regret we have with this quadcopter is that it is not foldable. Therefore, it does appear to be too bulky for its size and packing it in your backpack can be a bit of a bother. However, apart from that small issue, this aircraft gives you value for money and it does what the manufacturer says it can do.

DEERC is not a very new name on our blog. In the past, we did a review of the DEERC D50 drone. It is one of the best toy-class quadcopters for adults. However, as you proceed reading this review of the D15, you will see that it too gives good value for money.

SANROCK B5W

SANROCK B5W Drone Review

When you are buying an RTF (ready to fly) drone, you must consider certain features. Obviously, RTFs such as the SANROCK B5W that we are reviewing here are best for beginners.

They are also good hobby drones for experienced guys who don’t want to deal with BNF (bind and fly) drones that come without a remote controller such as the Vampire2 HD racing drone that we reviewed earlier. By referring to it as ready to fly, we mean it comes ready to fly out of the box. Of course, you have to insert the battery and perhaps attach the blades, but that is that.

So basically, the SANROCK B5W drone offers some good features for a beginner drone. The 4K resolution camera is without doubt its best-selling feature. It also has a good number of automatic functions that makes it super simple and enjoyable to fly.

But there is a flipside… it is not foldable. And it is heavy!

Keep reading to see all the features and flight functions that this quadcopter comes with.

Potensic Dreamer

Potensic Dreamer Drone Review

If it is called “Dreamer” and it comes from the Potensic house, you expect it to be good, in fact, super good. We will find out whether this is true in this Potensic Dreamer drones review.

Before we go on with this review, I feel we should water the parade some, but just a little. This drone does not really capture 4K videos. Therefore, we wonder why the manufacturer would go ahead and give it the 4K label. It can only do videos at a resolution of 2688 * 1512P. Technically, this makes it a 2.7K drone. It cannot capture 4K videos.

At the same time, even at the high cost, this drone is still toy-class. Therefore, some people find the cost high, and for some, it is just fine. Whether you want to pay this money for a toy-class quadcopter is up to you.

Apart from those two small hiccups, it has an awesome flight performance, has many automatic flight functions and is quite sleek. Keep reading so that you can see the features and flight functions that the Dreamer comes with.

Holy Stone HS510 Review

Does Holy Stone make good drones? This is a frequently asked question on the web. Well, you can only look at it drone by drone, as we are going to do in this Holy Stone HS510 review.

With a weight of 245g only, this quad is easy to carry around, even on your person. To make it even easier to carry with you, it is foldable! You can toss it into your jacket pocket and you will not feel it.

Other things that make this quadcopter worth buying include the long flight range, the long battery life, nice camera and a good handful of flight functions.

In the industry, quality has become synonymous with Holy Stone drones. You can check our past reviews on HS720, HS165 and Holy Stone HS700 to name but just a few of them and you will see their excellent quality.

While this brand name makes some nice specimens, there is a flipside to the HS510. One of the bad sides to this drone is that you cannot control the camera angle from the remote controller. If you want to adjust the view, you have to bring the quad home and do it manually.

For such a great looking and powerful drone, we feel that this is an injustice.

There have been some complaints about some users losing their SD cards when the drone is in flight. Therefore, you might want to check whether that happens with all HS510s or it could be a problem with a few.
